We had a really nice lunch - the service was great with friendly and helpful waiters. We got coffee, a milkshake, a chicken burger and a steak sandwich. All very good - our only criticism was that the milkshake was a bit underwhelming. Overall, a really nice experience!
Ever since the new owner took over in June. This place is amazing. Great food every time. Service is amazing. Coffee is perfect. It’s my daily
I had my best coffee of the week! They have perfect large size now. It is my must-go
Lovely cafe and a good choice for breakfast. The “Hot Cake” is my preferred choice and it’s delicious. The fluffy pancakes tops with cream and fresh blueberries makes the perfect combination. The lamington was also very good, fluffy juicy topped with coconut and some cream too. The avocado on toast was also very very nice for some savory taste.
My wife brought me here for breakfast on the weekend. I was in the mood for a big breaky type of meal so I was a little disappointed with the menu. But I enjoyed what I ordered and I will come back again. The ingredients in urban pantry’s menu are well thought out, nicely balanced unlike so many other cafes that add avocado to a plate already brimming with rich, fatty ingredients like bacon and eggs. It was nice walking away without feeling slightly queasy.
Fantastic and delicious breakfast menu options, plenty of very friendly staff to serve, (so very little wait) in a lovely cafe in Forest with the best coffee we’ve had this week.
Urban Pantry is an absolute must-visit! Has always been one of the best cafes in Canberra in my opinion. The food, coffee, juices, and smoothies are all top-notch. I highly recommend the potato rosti with perfectly poached eggs—it was fantastic. For something more indulgent, the Urban Burger is a truly delicious and substantial breakfast burger. Every main dish we saw looked and tasted well-balanced and satisfying. If you're in the area and looking for a great cafe experience, definitely pay them a visit.
A Manuka icon frequented by a polyglot of shakers & movers as well as ordinary folk like me. On "The Lawns" in Manuka which means leafy plane trees & a little patch of grass in spring & summer so cool & calm. Decor a little aged now, but still works well and the coffee & food is the most important aspect anyway. I had scrambled eggs with side of bacon, spinach & homemade sausage which came as a tasty patty (smashed rissole). Great sourdough from the Sutton Bakery and all cooked & presented well. Another had poached eggs on smashed avocado on sourdough and a third had some fried eggs with mushrooms & tomatoes. All delicious, hot and accompanied by excellent coffee.
